ABOUT OUR COUNCIL

The more than 260 members of the Cranford Knights of Columbus Council 6226 put their 'Faith In Action' for St. Michael's Parish, the Cranford community, our Nation and overseas missions adhering to Faith, Family, Community, and Life. Some of our parish-based programs include:

  • Faith. Financial Support Vocations Program and prayer for seminarians; Pride in Our  Priest dinner; 5th Sunday Mass and fellowship.
  • Family. Food for Families; Keep Christ in Christmas; Good Friday Family Promotion.
  • Community. Golf Outing; Helping Hands; Free Throw Contest; College Scholarships.
  • Life. March for Life; Gods Special Children; Blood Drive; Christian Refugee Relief.

From our formation on May 3, 1970, Cranford Knights have been a key ally of St. Michael Church https://stmichaelcranford.org/ . Brother Knights lend a hand at major parish functions including the Feast of St. Michael and are active in numerous parish ministries, serving as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist and lectors. The Knights have close ties to St. Michael's School http://smscranford.com/ with children of members attending. We continue to work closely with parents and teachers. College scholarships, including the Monsignor Fimiani and Christine Bagniewski Memorials, are awarded each June.

Throughout the year, we host family social activities and dinners that strengthen friendships. Breakfast with Santa, St. Patrick's Dinner Dance, the annual Golf Outing, and the Parish Picnic are a few of our activities.

JOIN THE KNIGHTS

In short, the Cranford Knights do more than just volunteer their time and services for the good of the parish and community. We offer members and their families the chance to be part of a larger community that shares the same Catholic beliefs, values, and aspirations. Joining the Knights will not only help you deepen your faith while serving others, you will also have access to family fraternal benefits. The Knights of Columbus has 15,342 councils and 1.9 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, and Poland, among other nations; each dedicated to Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
